What is the difference between negative and positive reinforcement? Describe two situations: one in which you have been positively reinforced and one in which you have been negatively reinforced. Be sure to identify the reinforcement and the target behaviors in your examples and discuss how you were reinforced. Include any shaping that occurred due to these reinforcements. What ethical considerations must be taken into account while undertaking this approach?
Reinforcement is a type of mental strength or a kind of motivation. Positive reinforcement is strenthening that mental strength to someone else to increase the chances of behaving that person positively . Otherwise negative reinforcement is just a vice versa of the positive reinforcement . It is not always that negative reinforcements are bad at all the times, situations depends. If I got a motivation before a tough examination somehow that would be my positive reinforcement but if I was make aware by someone else of the risky road conditions or someone is suggesting me to avoid a particular road for a journey , may it be a negative reinforcement but it works as equivalent as positive reinforcement.
