Does getting paid for a task that one enjoys performing reduce intrinsic motivation? Why or why not?

True. Getting paid for a task that one would be enjoying to perform would reduce the intrinsic motivation of a person. This hypothesis is referred to as the overjustification hypothesis. According to this hypothesis, it is stated that when something is done for the sake of the task, it is because it would be fulfilling the desire of the person itself Keelung him intrinsically motivated. Whereas, when we would be doing something for the sake of receiving a reward, in the form of money or a certificate, it results in extrinsic motivation. A person starts by doing a job, since they are already interested in it, and like doing it, since it is pleasurable to their soul, but this transforms into the hunt for money. This implies that it would be exhausting intrinsic motivation.
