Answer #1

Academic dishonesty is cheating in academic set-up in areas such as assignments, exams, research papers etc. It includes copying, plagiarizing, attending exams for someone else and getting the academic assignments and projects done by someone else. I would ask them to write their papers and not copying in the exams. If at all they use anyone else’s work, I would ask them to credit it by giving in text citations and references at the end of the work. I would also tell them that academic dishonesty is ethically and morally wrong and this would lead to higher crimes later. I would also tell them to do things on their own thus gaining real skills and if they involve in academic dishonest acts, they won’t gain the real knowledge and skill.

In Paragraph 7, we could find the answer in the statement, “For the majority of survivors, however, behaviour was not based on reason and calculation. Most survivors simply found themselves helping each other, as if by instinct, as if in answer to a need." So, Terrance Des Pres’ initial impression is that it’s an evolutionary survival strategy which later turned to be an idealistic illusion.
