What might happen in the United States if the gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen?

Answer #1

The gap between the rich and the poor is widening with time. However, if this continues, it would lead to inflation in the United States. The rich would continue to be richer and the poor would continue to be poorer. This would lead to inequality. The poor would never be able to have access to good education and eventually a decent job. The country's economic growth would be skewed. The rich would only earn while the poor would be struggling to make their ends meet.
