I've done well in philosophy, but somehow the new course material is terrifying to me. I almost hate to go to class.” Discuss how you think each question might elicit client meaning? The three questions could be;

1) Tell me what makes you feel confused and.lost.

This question would evoke a response from the client that would give understanding about client's perspective about the problem.

2) What aspect of the new course material makes you feel terrible?

This question would gain an understanding about the real problem of the client with course material and would help the professional to direct an effective and efficient way out to deal with situation.

3) What do think about your decision of not going to class?

This question would help the professional to understand the client's view of not going to class to suggest a way and also would help the client to introspect their own thinking about the decision that whether it was a correct decision.
