Answer #1

The advantages of using social media for advertisement and marketing purposes among lawyers is that it can help them promote their legal services to a target audience that you are unable to connect with offline. It creates new business relationships and helps generate new client leads for practice. Social media offers several platforms to market one’s practice on and thefore direct advertisements can be created. Furthermore, one can even obtain real-time client feedback, allowing the generation of word of mouth advertising as well. However, the disadvantages are that this requires an investment of time and money. One’s staff needs to undergo training to use social media to market law practice, or outsource to a social media marketing firm. There are also chances that new clients leads and other clients may see negative feedback about your law practice online.

The traditional communication process has undergone a transformation, evolving from a one-to-many structure to many-to-many. This evolution was made possible by the emergence of the Internet as a medium, which changed the way companies connect with their consumers (Hoffman & Novak, 1996), and opening space for new behaviors based on interactions and experiences (Lamberton & Stephen, 2016). This change has even generated a questioning about the future of traditional advertising (Kumar & Gupta, 2016; Schultz, 2016) since companies must deal...
