(Answer) If one needs to enforce or even calibrate thoughts about one’s culture tribe, it is essential to not resort to confirmation bias. This is where one actively seeks out information that one might only agree with.
The internet is a vast domain with contrasting and iridescent ideas that might enrich our reasoning skills, experience different perspectives and even comprehend those who are different from us. Furthermore, it is the best learning platform that enables us to connect with individuals with different opinions.
Sticking to just one culture tribe might be obstinate or even signs that prove one is simply a “yes man” who only seeks to surround oneself with people who agree with us.
Personally, I have subscribed to blogs like “Brain Pickings.” It is a blog that is run by posting thoughts, ideas and even interviews of individuals like Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Sylvia Plath and other insightful individuals. Although most of the content is posthumous, they also post the writing of current authors, businessmen and artists.
It is a great outlet to read the words of individuals who have belonged to different tribes and have achieved a level of self-actualisation.
