Answer #1
  • The microsystem is the small, immediate environment the child lives in. Children's microsystems will include any immediate relationships or organizations they interact with, such as their immediate family or caregivers and their school or daycare. For example, during my school age,my parents and teachers had a profound effect on my educational and social development. My parents and teachers were completely involved in my development and I guess thats what me a good student.
  • Bronfenbrenner's next level, the mesosystem, describes how the different parts of a child's microsystem work together for the sake of the child.
  • For example, My parents took an active role in a my school, such as going to parent-teacher conferences and watching my extra-curricular events and always cheering for me. This helped ensure my overall growth. Even my teachers always motivated me to participate in competitions and interact with other students to build up my confidence level.
  • The exosystem level includes the other people and places that the child herself may not interact with often herself but that still have a large affect on her, such as parents' workplaces, extended family members, the neighborhood, etc.
  • For example, When my dad received a promotion and a raise at work, it had a positive affect on me becaue this not only made me happy but also see my parents,be better able to give me my physical needs. All the things I wanted during my childhood, could be afforded by my parents because of my dad's work and his salary. This also made me positive in life and also value hardwork.
  • Bronfenbrenner's final level is the macrosystem, which is the largest and most remote set of people and things to a child but which still has a great influence over the child.
  • The macrosystem includes things such as the relative freedoms permitted by the national government, cultural values, the economy, wars, etc. These things can also affect a child either positively or negatively. For example,My cultural values at my home of respecting elders and doing things for my family have shaped up my personality as well. A liberal upbringing at home and school have influenced how I view others.I have no prejudices or judgments about people.I dont discriminate between people based on their religion since my parents never displayed those values at home.
  • This has made me a confident person along with understanding the importance of human life and respecting others and their hardwork, never discriminating anyone and following the value of live and let live.
