In order to amend the state
constitution, there has to be an amendment proposed or there could
be proposal of amendments. These require to be accompanied by
subsequent ratifications. There has to be a 2/3rd vote. Other ways
of amendments are:
- Through the constitutional
amendment which has been referred legislative ply.
- Through the process of
constitutional amendments that are initiated.
- Through the process of amendment
which is commission referred.
- Through ballot referrals or a
constitutional convention.
- Also, through direct state
legislature action. In this case no voting is required.
- Judicial actions can also be used
for changing state constitutions. This could only be done by the
federal court, if a part of the constitution would be declared
unconstitutional, it could be removed.
