One of the most important aspects of a constitution is that it separates the powers of Federal and State governments and the powers of the three pillars of democracy such as legislative power, judicial power and executive power. Legislative power allows the government chosen by people to enact and modify new laws.

Constitution makes sure people enjoy their right as agreed and courts step in where things are violated. Although constitution is an ultimatum, amendments are possible as time changes and new practices come into the society. Fundamental rights and duties are explained in the constitution. It would be difficult to run a democratic country in the absence of a written constitution.
