Please identify, compare, and contrast the four theories of prejudice. Do you think one theory is more prevalent than another theory in our lives today?

Scapegoat Theory proposes that prejudice results from frustration because of the disadvantages they experience or forced to experience. Authoritarian Personality Theory suggests that people with certain personality trait and those who are uneducated exhibit prejudice towards others. Culture theory suggests that culture teaches negatively about people of other cultures. Finally, conflict theory suggests that the difference between powerful and powerless in the society creates prejudice.

Culture and conflict theory are still prevalent in the society because the difference between rich and poor and the hostile viewpoint we hold towards people of other culture are a day to day issue even today. Although, globalization and international exposure to few people have changed the mindset of few, majority still remain in the old mindset.
