Confirmation bias is a type of cognitive bias.it is based on previous beliefs or bias.For example if an organization was to hire a person for the job,if he felt that the particular job would be done better with a male than a female,he would be unconsciouly rejecting the female members who attend the interview.This will affect the decision making process due to his confirmation bias.Another example is hiring baby sitters,only women are hired for the job as the belief is women are better at nurturing babies which may hold truth and belief is instilled on people.
