Richard Swinburne in his ‘Why God Allows Evil’ explains the two types of evils that people face. Firstly, the moral evil where God gives people the opportunity to choose between good and evil. People can choose between good and evil but the challenge God throws to them is to do good or bad. So, as an independent person, people have to choose between good and evil. This Swinburne explains that God provides people an opportunity to show their heroism by fighting evil.
Secondly he brings out the natural evil which are not produced by the humans intentionally. So, during the time of crisis and natural calamities people have the option of staying and fighting that evil or escape and hide. The important argument here is that God allows evil, so that man will become strong and prove his righteousness.
