The stories explain the the power of determination- 'where there is a will, there is a way'. Each of these personalities broke the stereotypes against them and proved to be successful. Despite going through painful surgery and loss of limps, Brian Kolfage believed that these experiences could not limit him from what he wanted. Gac Filipaj being a migrant conquered his inability to converse in English and ultimately earned a college degree. Martha Mason who is fighting with polio used her will and technology to quench her thirst for wisdom. Jacon Ateum,being a refugee orphan, opened a clinic to help others like him.Nola Ochs at the age of 95 has earned a Masters degree. All these personalities exhibits positive thinking, confidence and determination. They conquered the social, emotional, physical and psychological barriers to fulfill their dream.
