Answer #1

Zen Buddhism represents a contemporary wing of Buddhism which emerged in Japan. As a religious philosophy, zen advocates a radical transformation of the external reality through self awareness and control. In this way, it seeks to bring about a kind of socialism based on the principles of Buddhism. Zen Buddhism seeks to provide an end to suffering by analyzing its conditions and removing its main causes through praxis. Today, it’s practitione4s and proponents discuss a variety of global issues ranging from suffering due to Wars and violence as well as environmental problems and address a solution through collective social and spiritual responsibility. Thus, it is not all too wrong to say that Zen Buddhism stands as a revolutionary spiritual and social movement which provides a transformation of personal consciousness , both spiritual and political and bring an end to the condition of human alienation.

Would you rather have efficiency or variety? That is, one opportunity cost of the variety of products we have is that each product costs more per unit than if there were only one kind of product of a given type, like shoes. Perhaps a better question is, “What is the right amount of variety? Can there be too many varieties of shoes, for example?”

It is smart to use more than one gene when creating a phylogenetic tree because... Some genes NEVER accumulate mutations. We must use several genes in order to find the ones that actually change over time, and thus can be used to make a phylogenetic tree. We just do it because all the smart geneticists are using more than one gene. It's scientific peer pressure. Different genes will show the same degree of relatedness between species. We just use multiple...

Scoring Goals around the World Nike, a ferociously competitive marketing powerhouse, is the number one shoe supplier for virtually every major sport . . . with the exception of the world’s most popular game: soccer. That honor goes to German rival Adidas, which rakes in 38% of worldwide soccer-related sales versus Nike’s 31% share. But Nike aims to change those numbers with an aggressive, multi-pronged marketing push. In a 2005 letter to its retailers worldwide, Nike declared that its Spring...
