The value & usefulness of the ethical theory of Kant according to which; the rightness or wrongness of actions should not depend on the consequence of the actions but on whether they fulfill the duty or not. Thus according to this theory the supreme principle of morality i.e. the Categorical imperatives should not be transgressed. For achieving a goal the means should be ethically just. This theory of ethics is useful because it leads to no controversies. Thus in the context of Euthanasia, this theory is helpful as decisions based on this theory will not generate any controversy. Physicians will be hopeful until the very end and will try to save the lives of the people until the end.
