Answer #1

IDEA (Individual with disabilities education act ) is a legislation that requires schools to serve the educational needs of eligible students with disabilities.

Main purpose of IDEA is to provide free and appropriate public education to children with disabilities. So this is available to those special children who have disabilities and require special education.

So such special children who are considered to have disability in learning are having such disability or learning disorder due to some organic disoredi or disease. So to investigate and diagnose the child's disability is important and based on the clinical diagnosis and assessment expert can guide their special needs to be meant with, while providing them special education.

So according to my opinion IDEA best fits the medical model of disability. Also to deal with children who are offered IDEA best approach is through medical model of disability.
