Answer #1

Deficiency theory refers to the fact that poor people in general feel and think themselves to be innately inferior to the high-strata group, and thus, that is the reason why they are poor. The deficiency theory explains that poor people who are generationally poor or in a abuse situation accept it as their fate and continue living their lives. They make no effort to change the situation for themselves. They consider themselves to be innately inferior to the high-strata group, and choose to stay poor.
