At what age would you let a baby/toddler watch television, a DVD, or play a computer game? Would you change your mind if it were a game on a tablet or phone? What about if it were an electronic device marketed specifically for young children? What restrictions, if any, would you have in place for the baby/toddler? Name 1 television show, DVD, computer game, or app that you would agree to have the baby/toddler view and 1 that you would not allow them to view and list reasons why and why not.
I would not allow a baby to watch television, a DVD or play a computer game whatever be the content or the device it may be. The baby can listen to music and stories from a parent or a caregiver but the exposure to the electronic devices should be strictly prohibited in my opinion. It is observed that exposure to high-speed media content can contribute to attention deficit disorder, decreased concentration and memory. Studies also suggest that technologies make us more impatient and aggressive.
