Satrapi resorted to using pictures as well was images alongside words in order to make her story more relatable. As a reader, words make a person's imagination run wild. However, her style of including images and pictures, gives the reader the exact imagery of what she wants us to see. It very well describes the struggles that she had to go through during her childhood. Her style contributes to the story by giving the readers a relatable context which elicits empathy.
