Answer #1

Interview is a method of data collection. It involves interviewer and interviewee. There are both advantages and disadvantages to an interview. However, the two advantages are; it gives the interviewer the opportunity to choose a suitable candidate by assessing a candidate face to face. The other advantage is flexibility. It allows the interviewer to be flexible and extract primary as well as sufficient information from the candidate.

There are disadvantages as well. The first being, there is no record of the information in an interview. The things and points discussed in the interview are not in written form which allows both the interviewee and interviewer to take advantage of it. The other disadvantage is that interviews are time consuming. It takes a while to first prepare the interview, then take it and finally assess the responses. It is a time consuming process.
