The poorer countries of Southern Hemisphere lacks development in human resources, and their social and economic institutions lack basic infrastructural measures that are required for human resource management and development. Though some of these countries are endowed with abundant natural resources but war, famine etc has ravaged these countries, and made vulnerable for exploitation at the hands of richer countries.
If globalisation is adapted and promoted with sound economic and social policies without any selfish interests by the political institutions in these poorer countries of the Southern Hemisphere, then these countries would be benefitted by it, otherwise globalisation will perpetuate, and perhaps even deepen, the gap between richer postindustrial countries of the Northern Hemisphere and poorer countries of the Southern Hemisphere.
