In psychosomatic disorder, there are physical symptoms in
absence of physical disease. There is no biological cause behind
these symptoms, the individual feels psychological difficulties and
complaint of physical symptoms. There are several disorders
categorized in psychosomatic disorder- pain disorders, somatisation
disorders,
conversion disorders, and hypochondriasis.
There is no such positive perspective, because this is a form of disorder, and deviance, distress, dysfunction and danger are the main features of disorder. Although there is no life threatening danger in this disorder. But there are many loses can be seen in this disorder. The person feels emotionally disturbance and physically discomfort. If the disorder is chronic then person spend more money, time and energy to cure it. There is also disturbance in social, occupational and personal life.
