How would you describe the educational services that were available for students with disabilities during most of the twentieth century?

Answer #1

Students with disabilities were not even identified or diagnosed among a bunch of other students in the twentieth century. The teachers never paid heed to the students who did not do as well as the others. They were either labeled as 'mad' or merely 'stupid'. Since learning disabilities or children with special needs were not diagnosed, there were no educational services available for students back in the time. Special education is a very recent form of education for students with disabilities. It was neither identified nor available for students with disabilities during most of the twentieth century.
