Effective listening skills is the ability to actively understand information provided by the speaker and display interest in the topic discussed, which also gives the speaker the confidence that the message is being understood.

Your clients may be from an english speaking background or he/she might be from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, but effective listening and proper communication always helps us.

We have to demonstrate respect for cultural diversity in all communication with clients, their families, staff, customers and others. Effective listening may help to develop maintain effective relationships, mutual trust and confidence. We have to make efforts where language barriers exist to communicate in the most effective way possible.

Being able to listen effectively and communicate properly with clients and colleagues will make the work easier and more enjoyable.
