Scientific method in sociology involves the use of the systematic approach of researching questions and problems by being objective and accurate in; observation, collection and analysis of data, direct experimentation, and repeating of these procedures. Scientists believe in the importance of; gathering information carefully while remaining unbiased, then evaluating information, observing phenomena, conducting experiments, and accurately recording procedures and results. They repeat their work as they are skeptical about their results, so they confirm their findings. Thus the steps are; based on observations formation of an assumption i.e. hypothesis. Followed by experimentation and analysis of the results. Repetition of the experiments to confirm the findings.
