Describe Double Jeopardy. Please provide an example. (It’s in your book and it has nothing to do with criminalization)
Double jeopardy is preventing an accused person from being tried again on some similar or same charges and on the same facts, after a valid acquittal or conviction. The Double Jeopardy Clause of the Fifth Amendment to the USA constitution provides that "no individual should be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb." For example, if someone is charged with a crime of murder and acquittal or conviction then after the trial he cannot be tried and punished again for the same crime.
