Emerging adulthood is the stage just after the adolescence stage. One of the important characteristics of emerging adulthood is explorations and experiments. This is the age at which young people identify and explore various possibilities of love and work. This is the time in which they explore their life throughly. They starts new jobs, change in jobs, some may follow college studies, different types of romantic and sexual relationships, experimentation with drugs , alcohol and also engaging in risky and dangerous behaviour. Young adults in industrialized countries spend most of the time with experimenting and exploring potential directions of their life. Another important characteristics of emerging adulthood is identity explorations. About 50 years ago in America , the median age of marriage was 22 for men and 20 for women. Now it is of 27 for women and 29 for men. This is because many of the young people attend higher education and do their own explorations and experiments.
