How would you mentor this coworker towards the use of effective and applied critical thinking? provide rationales for your plan of mentoring this coworker. • Helping my co worker to realise that her thoughts are not her own by asking her to make a mental inventory and dispose of ideas or beliefs that are negative or harmful.
• Empowering her to overcome challenging issues by understanding the logical connections between the conflicts and motivating her to analyse it and find a solution.
• Helping her overcome any negative supersitions she has and cognitive biases leading to her overthinking about every situation.
• Understanding where she is coming from,her background,her culture,her beliefs and trying to figure out her thought process being influenced by cultural factors may be and then devising a plan to overcome her negative thinking. Especially if she from an asian culture,like India,the notion of women working outside is still considered a no for many families,so if that is something which is bothering her then accordingly her and her family's perpective has to be changed by making them realise the importance of being financially independent for a girl.
