(Answer) Maslow explains that motivated behaviour is of two types, those that satisfy basic needs and those that are a step towards greater needs. Maslow says that both types of motivation need to be perceived as a channel or a medium through which several desires or goals are trying to be met. For instance, an individual looking for companionship from the person they admire might be a need for human connection but it might also be that person A might feel true affection for person B and it is more than just a need for a relationship. These might be understood also as capital motivation or rather a motivation that has other motives tied to it.
