A short term problem that can be addressed using the SARA model is to reconcile a disagreement between two friends.

1. The first step is scanning what would involve clearly identifying the situation between the friends.
2. The second step is analysis wherein the events leading up to the disagreement can be investigated.
3. The third step is response in which direct action is taken to reconcile the disagreement between the arguing parties.
4. The fourth and final stage is assessment. Here, the effectiveness of the response or the intervention is examined, and in this case would be checking if the friends have started talking to each other after the intervention.
