Enlightenment movement that started in Europe and soon reached America. It focused on bringing common people to the forefront in areas such as intellectual, philosophical, cultural, and social. Four enlightenment ideologies such as natural rights which based the individual rights in America, Social Contract which propagated that government should be made of people, revolution that suggested that if the government doesn’t work for the government, people can revolt against it and finally reason which challenged the blind faith of the church thus religion and politics were separated in the American society kindled the thought for independence of America. There is no doubt that American war of Independence was fuelled by the enlightenment movement.
