Nicholas Cruz’s attorney, when talking to the media confirms that he knows what happened, he takes responsibility for what happened and he is ready to face the consequences of his actions although, she brands him a broken human being. This reflects the classicist view of crime that proposes that human beings have free will, they choose their actions and are aware of the consequences of their actions. They are also doing it voluntarily without the compulsion from anyone.
