what do you think about avant-garde art in general?

Avant-garde art refers to the unconventional, untraditional form of art. Avant-garde art gives an artist the opportunity to think out of the box. It is not the regular, conventional form of art. I reckon, it is a great way to bring forth real life issues in the form of art. Avant-garde art addresses umpteen issues which are otherwise a taboo or less spoken of in our society. It is of course critiqued because it does not abide by the norms created by the society. However, it helps other like-minded people connect and appreciate the effort made by the artist to do something unconventional.
