Race and ethnicity affect an individual's life on a very large extent. The status of the particular race and ethnicity greatly determines one's perspective on life in general.

If the status of their particular race and ethnicity for example that of minorities is such that they feel isolated and unwelcomed like in certain hostile countries they might view life as being hostile, dark and dull. But if the opposite happens the outlook towards life would be more positive.
