Major Open Online Course, as the name suggests, is an online course available for an unlimited audience to participate in. It is an online course which is available for the students at free of cost. The main agenda of MOOC is to increase knowledge through connections and interactions. They provide free classes, materials, guest lectures. It is more or less like a conventional academic class, minus the grades. It is available for individuals across the globe. It is form distance learning. I have only heard of it. However, never participated in a MOOC. I reckon, it gives individuals a fantastic opportunity to learn. It is great for people who drop of out school for various reasons. This would give them an opportunity to get a certificate sitting at home and eventually employment.
