Intrinsic motivation is a covert form of motivation that arises from internal factors. The goal is for personal satisfaction or accomplishment. It is a motivation that is a result of personal enjoyment or interest. Eg: Hobbies that give you sense of accomplishment such as gardening

Extrinsic Motivation is a form of motivation in which the behavior is or action is driven by external rewards. It arises from outside the individual unlike intrinsic motivation. Eg: participation in sports to get recognition and medals
