Sample is reffered as a representative subset of group of whole
population.
There are various ways of sampling but these are classified as
probability sampling and non probability sampling.
When there is chance of getting choose for every individual of
the population this is called probability sampling. this category
has more types- simple random technique, stratified random
technique, and cluster sampling.
Non- probability sampling doesn't quaranty to select every
individual of the population. In this category there are various
kind of techniques- Convenience sampling, Purposive
sampling, and Quota sampling.
