1-Define a consumer society and cite examples of such societies. How could societies reduce consumption of resoureces.

A consumer society is when individuals indulge in buying and selling of goods and services. For instance, the bread you eat, wheat is harvested by farmers who then sell their produce to whole sellers. The whole sellers process the wheat into refined wheat flour which is used to make the bread. The end product is sold to the retailer who further sells to customers for their consumption. There is buying and selling that took place above.

Resources are scarce, and thus, must be consumed responsibly. Societies can reduce consumption of as much resources by optimally using resources so that every bit gets utilized and nothing gets wasted.
