Describe the various ways in which streams can transport material.
The materials that are being trasported by the streams are known as load. With three different methods the stream carries loads. The methods are:
i) Solution: The materials that gets broken finely is transported in the form of solution. This solution has magnesium, clacium etc. This solution is coming from the ground water mainly as it travels through different types of rocks that has cemical reactions.
ii) Suspension: The streams carries the load when we see that the water is muddy. This materials can be silt, sand, etc. These materials are heavier as compared to water but the flow of the streams keeps them flowing due to swrils that is formed in the water.
iii) Another way of transportation is bed rock. Tthis load includes sand, stones, pebbles, rocks, etc. These are transported by rolling on the river bed.
