Youth with disabilities are likely to feel dejected by their diagnosis. Instead of feeling dejected one must redefine the way they look at it and they can only do that through experiencing the disability culture and pride. The disability culture includes being a part of individuals who are like them. The disability pride refers to taking pride in owning up to their disability and also cherishing the experience of having so many people around you who empathize and care for you.
