There is no doubt that permitting the sale of human organs will commodify those organs and in turn commodify human beings. Do you think the commodification of human beings in this way will lead to their exploitation? Can you draw on any support from the course material (or elsewhere) for your position?
Commodification of human beings in a way of permitting the sale of human organs will definitely lead to their exploitation. Permitting the sale of human organs would result in the misuse of it. Instead of selling an organ to a help somebody who needs it to be replaced, in return for money, would instead become a business. Selling kidney had become a business wherein the doctors at the hospital would remove one kidney of all the patients undergoing any surgery without their knowledge. They would further sell it at a higher price. This is a typical example of not only commodifying human beings but also exploiting them. Selling organs is banned for the same reason. Also, in majority of countries, only the patient's immediate relatives can give away their organs for the surgery to take place. Buying and selling is not an option as it leads to exploitation of human beings.
