Write ONE to TWO paragraphs answering the following question: “As a parent of young children, would you allow them to watch all of this programming – commercial and public – or not? Why or why not?”

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Parenting is a huge responsibility which comes with its own set of decisions and conflicts in decision making. Media has A lot of power. The programs shown on television have some form of subtle subconscious programming within them that no matter what leaves a lasting effect not only on children but also on adults.

Therefore allowing young children to watch all of this programming won't be done to allow them to grow at their own pace minus all the messages given about being adults and especiallyeabout being a woman in the media.
