Looking at animism and reverence for nature that we find in Molloy’s discussion of indigenous religions, what traces do we find of them in one or more of the major religions of India and one or more of the major religions of China?

Indigenous religion means any religion that is native to a particular geographical region.

Animism and reverence refers to believing in a spiritual being, be it plants, animals, statue or someone dead and respecting them with all your heart.

For example, the movie Avatar shows us the culture of worshipping their ancestors in a form of a tree.

In India, many traces are seen, for example, worshipping the cow, moon, sun, also, believing the ancestors souls protect us and worshipping them too.

In china, people for example follows Chinese Buddhism, which is different from Buddhism in India. Then there is Christianity there which is again different from Indian Christians.
