Answer #1

Fluid intelligence is defined as the ability to solve new problems and use logic in situations not encountered previously. Fluid intelligence is flexible and adaptive since it is used differently in new situations. For example, solving a complex puzzle would require the use of fluid intelligence. On the other hand, crystallised intelligence is defined as the ability to utilise learned knowledge and experience. Crystallised intelligence builds up on previously acquired information. For instance, learning a new language would require crystallised intelligence in order to memorise new words and build up the vocabulary.
