• You work in a fast-food restaurant. It's against policy to eat food without paying for it. You came straight from classes and are therefore hungry. Your supervisor isn't around, so you make something for yourself and eat it without paying.
• Your accounting course requires you to purchase a software package that sells for $50. Your friend, who is also in the class, has already bought the software and offers to lend it to you. You take it and load it onto your computer.

2. Why do you believe locus of control might be important when you are hiring someone to do a specific job. Hint:  locus of control has implications for how people behave on the job.

1) Yes, As human is a social animal there are many instances when individual use morally disengaged thinking.It is the process by which an individual convinces himself/herself that ethical standards do not apply to him/herself within a particular situation or context. There are four categories, which can be seen during different events of morally disengaged thinking.

2) A locus of control orientation is a belief about whether the outcomes of our actions are contingent on what we do (internal control orientation) or on events outside our personal control (external control orientation). Characteristics of Individuals having external locus of control and individuals having internal locus of control vary from each other.

Different types of jobs require or demand different skills and caabilities. For example, Individuals with internal locus of control are more likely to take responsibilities of their actions whereas individuals with external locus of control Often credit luck or chance for any successes.
