Social network is a network established by us by our social interactions and personal relationship in our day to day life. We can create diversity in our social network at egocentric level by interacting and forming social relationships as friendships with individuals who belong to different culture, societies or nations. This would help to broaden our social perspective and would enrich the knowledge about our world. Similarly,at workplace we can choose to work with people belonging to different backgrounds other than us, this would bring new ideas and innovations in our work and would make our work an enriching and more enjoyable experience.

Diversity in social networking is essential to break the barriers of inequality and discrimination. Diversification help us to understand perspectives of others from different social background and thus, it broaden our views and opinions about them. This helps to reduce prejudice and stereotype,and create empathy in us.
