There have been many studies conducted on the long term effects of secure attachment. All the studies have shown similar results, where children who had developed secure attachment as a child had healthy relationships, friendships, and were socially strong. These children had developed a sense of security and comfort, had good relationships with their parents, and adjusted well to their surroundings.

In school, they show cooperation and good social skills with other children, and tend to be popular in school. Securely attached children also do well academically, and have a high self esteem. Securely attached children, as adults had healthy romantic relationships and fulling marriages. They were found to be psychological stable and less likely to indulge in addictive behaviors. Overall their experience more positivity in their daily life.
