A preschool is an educational establishment or learning space offering early childhood education to children before they begin compulsory education at primary school. The main chnags that occur in preschool are as follows:

  • In addition to gaining height and weight, the bodies of preschool children undergo changes in shape and structure. Children become less round and more slender. their arms and legs strengthen up.
  • Children in this stage more likely to die from accidents than illnesses
  • There requirement for food is less food as their growth rate is slower
  • Children in the preschool years are generally quite healthy
  • Obesity in these years is caused by genetic and environmental factors
