Social Contract Theory suggests that there is rights and duties for both the rulers and the ruled. One of the most important responsibilities of he ruled is protecting the ruled, their properties and their interests. Philanthropic view proposes love for humanity and helping the disadvantaged people in the society.
The increasing gun shooting has become a major concern and point of discussion in the USA. Some random lunatic get into a killing spree has forced the government to think of a new strategy that would fight the shooters then there, thus protecting the rights of all the people for a safe living. Arming the teachers, the government thinks will make readily available forces to take on any shooters in the campus.
